Journal Entry 8

1) The writer is trying to research on what makes a rock band "genuine" and "authentic". How they establish their authenticity or originality.

2) He uses books from authors who wrote about this subject, he also uses the examples of other rock songs and other bands that have already played that are viewed as either authentic or fake from their behaviour. He also refers to the behaviours and techniques of the bands he beleives are "Authentic rock bands".

3) These days authenticity is a must, although it's rather imposed than created. However, people establish their authenticity by focusing on their area of expertise and acting upon it. Each area of expertise the person must per say "Walk the walk and Talk the talk" and this is how their authenticity is shown. Some people also assert themselves and their audience by performing publicly or basically acting themselves. By "Just being themselves".
